BWFSC Summer Meet 2017

After a successful time at the London Aquatics Centre during the London Regionals in May, the team returned to the same venue for the BWFSC level 3 Open Meet held on 9th July.

21 clubs took part in the event with Southwark Aquatics coming 6th place in the overall medal table. This is a fantastic achievement from the smallest competitive swimming club in London! 21 of our swimmers took part in events throughout the day achieving:

3 Gold medals,

9 Silver medals,

10 Bronze medals,

13 4th places.

And Jessie coming 2nd overall in the Girl Trophy based on individual points.

Many new personal best times were accomplished and 7 new club records made. And a big congratulations to Sophia & Mateusz for making Regional qualifying times.

Also, special mention goes to Lily and Millie A, two of our younger and new swimmers taking part in their very first ever open meet at the Olympic pool.
